Job Description Architect and implement customer oriented cutting edge solutions for leading high-performance data networking products as a member of a highly capable and dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate should have BS/MS in Engineering CS, EE or related field and 15+ years or more hands-on experience in Networking area End to end experience driving IP facric, multicast fabric solutions for datacenter product. Proven experience in Visualizing and architecting time bound solutions for data center products Working across forwarding, protocol, embedded manageability teams to define the requirements Drive the design of individual features as need be towards the larger solution Review of solutions proposed by teams part of the solutions Architectural design review Proposing more efficient design/architecture to improve scale and convergence Leadership in overcoming hardware , design bottlenecks for the proposed solutions Desired experiences in one or more of the following: Forwarding design and implementation experience for routers and switches Understanding of software and Hardware-based Packet Forwarding Software management of networking HW resources such as TCAM, packet buffers, RIB/FIB IPv4/IPv6 routing/forwarding, PBR, ACL, Rate-limiting, QoS MPLS, VPLS, VLL, VRF, L3VPN, VXLAN, MCT, Multicast TCP/IP stack, ARP/ND LAG/LACP, Layer 2 switching, Ethernet Understanding of TM and Linux internals would be an added advantage Understanding of ASIC architecture across vendors. Understanding of Broadcom XGS, DNX could be an added advantage. Understanding of system architecture, SDK or Drivers for network processor or traffic manager ASIC/FPGA preferred. Experience in Linux OS and multi-threaded programming preferred. Experience in Python, shell scripting preferred. Experience in automated software unit testing preferred. Excellent C coding and debugging skills are required. Comfortable with technical and business English usage (documents reading, e-mails, conference calls) Day-to-Day Responsibilities Analyze current product feature set, compare a contrast with leading cutting edge products in the industry Work with product management for defining release content, recommend solutions Work with solution architects at ISPs and data center deployments and identify solution gaps Drive time bound design of innovative solutions Design, develop, and maintain embedded routing, switching or analytics software as needed Implement new features for networking platforms Propose design architectures and solutions Unit test implemented work Work closely with software quality assurance engineering to review feature test plans and confirm functions Be involved in early-stage of solution architecture working with high-performance teams for next-generation networking platforms,
