Engineering Bangalore, IndiaRoles and Responsibilities: Essentially this role includes implementing and supporting data-path based on various family of chipsets from Broadcom in the networking products of Extreme Networks. This role would also need the person to be an expert in data-path infrastructure for networking products independent of any chipsets as well. Would be expected to define networking solutions and architecture including selection of essential components. So work experience in architecting and implementing data-path framework as well as features with virtual machine support using hypervisors, container based and experience with using open-source components like OVS, OpenFlow, DPDK, supporting VT-d, etc., is also essential. Usage and intricacies of cloud services would also be essential. This role expects the person to be implementing and supporting the associated products. As an individual contributor, one should be a good team player and should work effectively in a multi-site mode along with other teams in different time zones as well. The skill-set being looked for is as follows: BE/ B.Tech or ME/ MTech preferably in the field of Computer Science or Electronics;Work experience of around 3-9 years in the following areas: Strong exposure to networking domainHands-on experience in architecture and implementation of data-path framework in networking productsExperience in development of data-path based on different Broadcom MACs PHYs.Work experience in using open source components like OVS, OpenFlow, accelerators, etc.Experience in virtualization, containerization and cloud based technologies essentialExperience in development of datapath functionality like IPv4/ v6, filters, mirroring, multicast support, security related features, service-chaining support etc.Exposure to Avaya s fabric networking and virtual inter-switch trunks is an added advantageStrong experience with Programming in C/ C++ and scripting language (like python) Source code version control tool and environment GIT/ Git-hub environment essential,
