Job Description

    IntroductionThe IBM AI Applications business unit is seeking talented and motivated SRE/DevOps professionals to work on the Maximo family of products. In this role you will closely collaborate with the broader SRE team to design and implement the cloud deployment of Maximo set of products on AWS. Support production customers in operational task such as upgrades, maintenance and infrastructure issues, where planned production maintenance is done on planned weekends. Work on a daily basis with Product Owners, Architects, Release Managers and SRE Manager. Proactively seek for improvements opportunities and innovation that matters by learning new technologies and methods that can positively impact the products.Your Role and Responsibilities As a SRE Engineer, you will:
    • Be the point of contact for clients, responsible for the management and ownership of client service requests
    • Identify and investigate issues, using troubleshooting techniques in order to provide advice and guidance to clients
    • Work in a global team located in US, Canada, Ireland, China, India, and Australia, collaborating with IBMers to share recommendations, solutions and ideas
    • Look for enhancements and innovative solutions to help the services scale and improve existing technical support tools, procedures, or processes.
    • Develop and enhance your technical knowledge via projects and assignments, as well as through IBM s world class learning platform
    • Be on on-duty rotation including weekend and holiday support as needed basis
    Required Technical and Professional Expertise
    • Familiar with SRE/DevOps
    • Experience in managing the applications on AWS
    • Good Understanding of Security on Cloud based applications
    • Good technical foundation of Networking concepts on Cloud, like VPCs, NLB/ALB, Content Delivery on AWS
    • Experience in building CI/CD pipelines for large scale application on AWS
    • Good Understanding about AutoScaling on AWS
    • Experience in migrating & supporting the applications on Kubernetes
    • Strong background in deployment management tools and automation using Ansible.
    • Monitoring solutions on AWS
    • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills to work with customer on problem solving
    • Expected to participate in regualr weekly and weekend on-call rotation every 7 business days and every 7th weekend covering EU Geographical region
    Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
    • Experiences in Linux Administration
    • Experience with NoSQL technologies like MongoDb
    • Experience with SQL dbs like DB2.
    • AWS -SES (Simple Email Service)
    • AWS storage S3/EBS/EFS
    • AWS Certification(s) such as Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, SysOps Admin
