Job Description

    Overview:Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Collaborate with engineering teams on the design of new products and support efforts for legacy products and process improvement.
    2. Enhance and maintain tooling for continuous build, automated testing, and release management.
    3. Implement and manage various development, testing, and automation tools, along with IT infrastructure.
    4. Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools for efficient software development and deployment.
    5. Identify bottlenecks in build processes and optimize performance.
    6. Develop and deploy scripts to automate tasks and streamline workflows.
    7. Provide expertise in quality engineering, test planning, and testing methodology for software projects.
    8. Incorporate DevOps best practices into the product SDLC with a focus on continuous improvement.
    9. Assist businesses in developing strategies for code deployment.
    10. Maintain documentation related to build processes and product configurations.
    11. Define and establish development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations.
    12. Review, verify, and validate software code developed in projects.
    13. Provide periodic progress reports to management and customers.
    14. Handle any other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications/Skills:
    1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
    2. Professional technical experience of at least 8 years.
    3. 5+ years of experience with Windows and .Net.
    4. 4+ years of experience with CI/CD processes.
    5. 2+ years of programming and scripting experience.
    6. Prior experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
    7. Proficiency with git and git workflows.
    8. Good knowledge of Ruby or Python.
    9. Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
    10. Problem-solving attitude and collaborative team spirit.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    1. Experience with automated build and configuration management tools like Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
    2. Ability to propose and implement new CI/CD solutions based on best practices research.
    3. Skilled in influencing others and gaining support for process improvements.
    4. Continuously reflects on successes and failures to enhance performance and decision-making.
    5. Demonstrates a passion for self-improvement of technical skillsets.
    6. Proactively engages with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and best practices.
    7. Strong focus on fault tolerance and high availability strategies.
    8. Proficient in monitoring cloud environment metrics and making proactive recommendations for improvements.
    9. Excellent troubleshooting skills and security mindset.
    10. Experience with SQL Server administration and managing backups and replication failovers.
    11. Willingness to learn and leverage Azure resources for software performance and customer experience improvement.
    12. Programming experience with any language (C++, C#, Java, or Python).
    13. Knowledge of networking and basic troubleshooting (TCP/IP, IP address space, subnetting, route tables, etc.).

    • Regularly required to talk and hear.
    • Regularly required to work on sedentary tasks involving sitting and typing for extended periods.
    • Regularly required to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
    Work Environment:
    • Primarily works in a temperature-controlled office environment with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
