VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), a VMware offering in exponential growth model, is a hybrid cloud infrastructure platform to run modern workloads, from mission-critical workflows to containerized apps, in the private cloud, public cloud, and at the edge. VCF integrates compute, storage, networking, security, and cloud management services, including support for modern composable hardware, to create a consistent, and dynamically configurable, infrastructure.We have ambitious goals to expand VCF infrastructure in a way that makes it simpler to run these modern workloads, which are distributed, hybrid, multi- cloud and elastic. That involves turning these full-stack infrastructure clusters, hardware(s) plus software(s), into programmable, intelligent, intent-driven software endpoints. deployed, secured, and easily managed at scale, like a software CI/CD pipeline. The infrastructure is intent-driven, whereby an application can provide its runtime characteristics and requirements of the infrastructure and expect the entire stack to configure itself intelligently. The infrastructure also reconfigures or maintains itself on a ongoing basis, to support these hybrid applications dynamic, elastic needs.We are looking for a talented and seasoned Engineer with hands-on experience developing Cloud/System Management software to join the VMware Cloud Foundation(VCF) R&D Group.This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual to engage in development using innovative technologies, working cross-team and cross-geo environmentResponsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop system architecture and security solutions.
• Working with principal engineers, architects, product management, and other stakeholders to define the technical roadmap for the product in response to customer requirements and market forces.
• Design, Build and deliver complex features single-handedly or with few engineers
• Develop modular software components & solutions in an agile fashion.
• Collaborate effectively in a very fast-paced environment across worldwide teams
• Proactively identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies for execution
• Provide leadership in software development methodologies, best practices and Hands on with POC development

• Extensive experience in software development with expertise in architecting and rolling out new technologies and solutions from front-end to backend.
• Experience in developing enterprise grade Security management
• Extensive experience in software development using Java technologies, microservices architecture, REST APIs and Spring framework and Spring Boot.
• A clear understanding of Certificate Management, Password Management, Security Compliance and Platform Security
• Hands-on experience in conceptualizing, building and deploying large scale cloud products
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, Maven, Gradle
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Very strong design and development experience in distributed, clustered and multi-threaded applications
• Must be effective in working both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong listening and question based analysis skills.
• Ability to uncover business challenges and develop custom solutions to solve those challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral are required.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Equivalent, M.Tech highly preferred
• 12 years of experience in Software industry.

• Experience in developing Management software in the area of NIST/HIPAA/PCI DSS, RBAC, Identity Management or Security
• Prior experience developing software using vSphere, vRA API
• A clear understanding of Datacenter Security Requirements
• Expertise with Micro Services based architecture
• Experience in using Web 3.0 technologies.
• Agile product development
