Enphase is also one of the most successful and innovative clean energy companies in the world, with more than 80 million products shipped across 160 countries.Join our dynamic teams designing and developing next-gen energy technologies and help drive a sustainable future!This role at Enphase requires working onsite 3 days a week, with plans to transition back to a full 5 day in office schedule over time.About the role:For our EV Charging business,we seekexperienced IOT/ Cloud Engineerwho will be able to work across multiple products toleadeffectiveproductarchitecture anddevelopmentHands-on in various technologies,Mentor team of Engineers, on day-to-day duties as well as work with leadership team on strategic initiativesProvide hands-on technical expertise to design, engineer, deploy, and deliver including driving improvements in technical architecture,standards,and processes.Partner with Engineering, Product Management,Program Managementand Professional Services to ensure required technology upgrades/migrations/ and builds are well understood and planned into roadmaps.What you will do:Design, build, and maintain high-throughput Java Spring Boot microservices serving millions of devicesDevelop RESTful APIs (JSON/XML) secured with JWT and OAuth 2.0Work with MongoDB as the primary data store, designing schemas and queries for scaleBuild and consume event-driven architectures using Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, and KinesisContainerize services with Docker and deploy on AWS EKS (Kubernetes) via CI/CD pipelinesCollaborate on system design for high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and performanceWrite clean, testable, well-documented code with strong unit and integration test coverageParticipate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planningOwn features end-to-end from design and implementation through deployment and production monitoringTroubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive reliability improvementsLeverage AI-powered development tools for code generation, automated code reviews, test creation, technical planning, and debugging continuously improving team productivity and code qualityWho you are and what you bring:B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science (or equivalent) from a reputed institution8 years of hands-on back-end development experienceStrong proficiency in Java (8) and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security)Solid experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred) schema design, indexing, aggregation pipelinesPractical experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, EKS, CloudWatch, or similar)Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestrationExperience with Git, Bitbucket/GitHub, and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)Understanding of RESTful API design principles, versioning, and security (OAuth 2.0, JWT)Strong organizational skills ability to define, track, and deliver work independentlyExcellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skillsClear, concise written and verbal communicationExperience with event streaming platforms Kafka, AWS KinesisWorking knowledge of AWS Lambda and serverless architecturesUnderstanding of WebSockets and persistent connection protocols (e.g., OCPP)Knowledge of networking fundamentals TCP/IP, TLS, load balancing, connection keep-alive, timeout tuningExperience with AWS ALB/NLB, target groups, health checks, and sticky sessionsExposure to Elasticsearch / OpenSearch for search and analytics workloadsFamiliarity with SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) as a secondary skillKnowledge of caching layers (Redis, ElastiCache)Understanding of observability structured logging, distributed tracing, metrics (Datadog, ELK, Prometheus)Familiarity with shell scripting (Bash) for automation, debugging, and operational tasksExposure to OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) or EV/IoT domainExperience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Windsurf/Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude) for development, code review, and technical planningExperience working in renewable energy, clean tech, or IoT companiesYou thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and evolving prioritiesYou take ownership proposing solutions, not just implementing ticketsYou care about code quality clean architecture, meaningful tests, thoughtful PR reviewsYou can context-switch across projects without losing momentumYou communicate status, risks, and trade-offs proactively to the team .
