Job Description

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our BloxOne DDI team in Bangalore, reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop features for Infoblox s next-generation DNS, DHCP, and IP Address (DDI) Management SaaS services. You will utilize your experience and creativity to influence technology direction and decisions while ensuring that our products are best-of-breed.

You re the ideal candidate if you are a great collaborator, strategic thinker, operate independently, deadline and results-driven.

What you ll do:

  • Design, develop and maintain features and iteratively deploy services using Infoblox s cloud-based architecture
  • Serve as a senior technical member and assist engineers/senior engineers technically
  • Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions
  • Work closely with various cross-functional product teams
  • Collaborate with QA to investigate and fix defects
  • Participate in on-call production support on a rotation

What you ll bring:

  • 12+ years of experience in software development with programming languages such as Go, Java
  • Experience in Software Design, Data Structures, and Algorithms
  • Experience with Container Technologies such as Kubernetes/K8s, Docker
  • Knowledge in Database Technologies such as Postgres, SQL, etc
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
  • Knowledge in any public cloud such as AWS/GCP is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general networking concepts, DNS or DHCP protocol is preferred
  • Bachelor s degree in CS, CE, or EE is required
  • Experience in Agile methodologies with software development life-cycle experience.

What success looks like:

After six months, you will

  • Gain knowledge on the Network technologies, DDI networks its protocol stack
  • Learn the best of cloud and container technologies
  • Learn the best of SaaS based development practices and design nuances
  • Hands-on experience on different aspects of the BloxOne DDI platform and will be able to participate in the feature development for the Blox1 DDI components
  • Be a contributing member of BloxOne DDI components

After about a year, you will

  • Gain deep knowledge in the area of networking, DDI, and demonstrate technical skills to go deep or broad in solving classes of problems
  • Be a Key Influencer in the new feature development, take ownership in translating it into executable technical design, and independently develop the features for BloxOne DDI
  • Collaborate with peers and teams across the organization in various integration activities and achieve a tangible outcome
  • You should have good exposure to our key modules and able to design and develop new feature sets independently
  • Provide guidance, direction, and consultation to new engineers
  • Participate in the product deployment rotational on-call responsibilities
  • Be a key contributor to the success of Infoblox
