Job Description Looking for a Staff Software Applications Engineer for server side development on the XMC(Extreme Management Center) which is an actively deployed state of the art Network Management System (NMS) for L2 / L3 switches and routers in the Extreme portfolio. XMC provides a single pane of glass interface for managing wired as well as wireless devicesParticipate and own the feature development tasks in active releases and be responsible for the end - to - end execution Engage with Product Management to translate the product requirements in to functional engineering requirements and resolve cross dependencies. Address Software Performance , Memory and Scale issues. Mentor junior members of the team in domain and technical issues , participate actively in code reviews and shape architecture of the product Develop various work items viz , System / Unit Functional Spec , Design Spec , Implementation , Test / Integration Plans and Testing etc. Qualifications / Job Responsibilities: Minimum of 8 years of industry experience , 6 in Network Management a definite plus. Proficiency in Java , Threading , Data structures and Object oriented methodologies a must. Exposure to web application development a must Elements of the Tech stack used are Ext - JS / REST / DWR / Java / Python / WildFly JBoss 10 / Ant / Git Hands on understanding of the advanced design constructs in Management Protocols like SNMP / RESTConf Good skill level in NMS concepts , must have dealt with and comfortable handling complex customer issues and business requirements. Ability to work with Product Management and develop engineering solutions / requirements. Ability to clearly call out dependencies all thru the product development life - cycle and drive for completion,
