Extreme Networks is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer who is self - motivated , enthusiastic , and possesses innovative problem solving techniques to help us build Extreme Network s next generation Enterprise Networking Solutions. The successful candidate will become a technology leader within the development team designing , implementing , and testing high quality embedded system software for our Ethernet data products. Roles and Responsibilities: Design and implement networking routing / switching protocol software for high end networking systems. Candidate should have hands - on experience in programming in C and preferably Linux software environments for high end CPUs and Network Processors with very high standards for quality and documentation. The candidate must have prior experience of at least 8 years in similar software development for high end networking solutions. Extensive knowledge of TCP / IP and networking technologies Skills Required: Experience in any of MPLS , LDP , RSVP , GMPLS , OSPF , ISIS , BGP , Routing Requires a BE or ME in EE / CS and 8 - 14 years experience in a related area. Analyze requirements , design , develop and deliver high quality software along with functional team Architect , design , develop , test , or troubleshoot feature owned in Routing or MPLS protocol. Interact cross functionally on matters that require coordination across organization lines. Write functional and design specification documents and drive sign - off. Interface with developers , QA , Documentation & Customer Support teams as needed. Participate in full product life cycle development.,
