Job Description

  • Minimum of 12+ years experience as TSM Administrator v6.0, v7.0, v7.5 and V8.1.1.
  • Data Protection advisor extensive 5+ years of hands on experience for monitoring and complex reporting.
  • Technical certification (IBM TSM 6.X, IBM Spectrum Protect 7.X OR 8.X, DELL Data Domain, HPE StoreOnce VTLs, Dell DPA 6.5 and above, other reporting tools).
  • Review and develop business recovery strategies, draft procedures for identifying failures and invoking contingency plans.
  • Hands-on knowledge to implement High Availability, Workload Management and Fail Over, Disaster recovery and capacity management.
  • Working knowledge of configuration of inventory expiration, migration, reclamation, TSM-DB backup admin schedules along with creating backup scripts for user backup for UNIX and Windows servers.
  • Enterprise Backup VTL, PTL products hands on experience (preferred Dell EMC Data Domain, HPE StoreOnce, IBM enterprise 3584 PTL, HPE ESL).
  • Scripting knowledge (Shell and TSM scripting).
  • Ability to design complete Backup, Restore strategy, configuration of Backups- Full/Incremental/Image/Sub-file and troubleshooting.
  • Work with the incident and problem management on root causes and proactive avoidance of future incidents on backup and recovery systems.
  • Excellent understanding of ITSMITIL processes & ITIL V3 foundation trained/certified.
