• As Test Architect, you will own the software test architecture for the IBM block replicator product
• Resiliency File Replicator uses open-tar transport mechanism to replicate changed files from source to destination. To minimize the impact of network failures on large file transfers and to optimize the resources, Resiliency File Replicator replicates large files using Block-segments mechanism, so that only changed blocks of the large file is replicated. In this mechanism, the file is divided into multiple segments of a pre-configured size and a checksum of each of these segments is computed on source and destination files and is compared. Only those file segments whose checksums differ, are replicated to the destination

In the current industry, as the data processing increases, it becomes a challenge to enable multi-host processing and making data mutually available across the network. Therefore, Resiliency File Replicator guarantees that all the machines always have access to asynchronously replicated data, which means that any changes to the data on a source server is reflected on a target server at a specified replication time interval.What will you do

• Design and support the testing architecture, help the engineering teams with the best approach and design for developing and integrating the replication product into the overall IBM Resiliency Orchestration platform
• Act as an Authority for Resiliency solutions to application owners, support vendors, and management. Support Crisis Management by providing technical input related to recovery capabilities and oversee the execution of disaster recovery plan(s) at time of disaster
• Schedule and coordinate overall DR testing program for all critical applications. Ensure application, infrastructure and resource available for all DR tests along with resolutions any defects identified during the DR testing.
• Ensure system and infrastructure components supporting DR are current and operating efficiently. Dedicatedly architect, estimate and manage projects to ensure these components do not go out of support. Manage service provider efforts supporting DR systems and infrastructure

• Minimum 12-15 years experience in working with enterprise class software in storage management or backup-restore
• Working knowledge in Data Protection or Work Load migration for Virtual environments
• Experience in testing replication software for virtual and cloud platforms to configure and administer Hypervisors - mandatorily VMware environments from VCenter, and Hyper-V from SCVMM
• Proven ability in driving Test Architecture for Enterprise scale software in infrastructure space that are highly scalable and extensive
• Demonstrable expertise in administration of Unix, Windows and Linux environments along with experience in Automation tools such as Selenium, Sahi, scripting languages such as Perl, Python

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

• Working knowledge about Service provider environments and DRaaS offerings
• Proven domain knowledge and customer experience related to resiliency for hybrid cloud environments
• You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
• Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
• Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
