Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the procurement team that will be responsible for transportation contracts (multimillion dollar sourcing responsibility) - develop the most capable and most customer centric procurement team in the country.
  • ERP systems (SAP R/3 MM Module Material management), SRM (Suppliers relationship management), Contour tester (FARM TRACEPAK), CMM (Calypso)
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategy to achieve step changes in cost structure.
  • Identify and develop vendors across categories, especially with a focus on developing partners who can drive innovation and significant cost savings.
  • Develop innovative commercial models and negotiate procurement agreements.
  • Collaborate with Transportation teams to establish and streamline systems and processes. Manage vendors to ensure service reliability and quality.
  • Develop and utilize metrics to measure operational readiness and procurement performance. Resolve payment issues with vendors and accounts payable.
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve annual cost savings.
  • Help coordinate and establish required legal documentation. Issue appropriate Purchase Orders.
Main Technical skills.
  • Vender development by using 8D, six sigma, 5s, pokes yoke and 7qc tools.
  • Basic inventory management ABC analysis, costing.
  • Controlling quality issues and raising DARs and CARs to Vendors.
  • Working knowledge in fully computerized and ERP (SAP MM Module, SRM) procurement.
Roles
  • Managing the assigned vendor for all the procurement activities.
  • Assuring the products are delivered within the Service Level agreement.
  • Identifies & researches new potential vendor.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skill.
Basic Qualifications5 years of experience in driving innovation, sourcing and procurement with leading companies in a fast paced, challenging environment. (Mandatory)Demonstrated capability to build and lead a team of high performing individuals.
