Job Description

Cyber Security SW Engineer for BG Security - Specific Role Description:As a Cyber Security SW Engineer you work closely with the business stakeholders to design and build methods to enhance their security posture, mainly in the area of BG security. You enjoy working on a wide variety of security solutions and technology stacks.Key Responsibilities:The Cyber Security SW Engineer is accountable for recommending solutions and giving guidance & support to ensure Nokia information is protected in line with the Nokia Information Security Policy. This should be done in a cost effective and innovative way bringing value to the BG teams & IT teams through simplification, standardization and homogenization.Key accountabilities include:

  • Drive the Cyber Security automation software development lifecycle; defining, prioritizing, designing, implementing, and testing new features
  • Define or assist in definition of strategy for the evolution of technical security solutions (technology choices, architecture)
  • Architect, design and implement scalable technical security solutions
  • Develop or implement open-source/third-party tools to assist in detection, prevention, analysis and mitigation of security threats
  • Design and build proof of concept prototype solutions
  • Validate security controls proposed by the BG teams and IT or Nokia suppliers
  • Understand and help improve the actual security posture of the business stakeholders
Skill Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to do agile development
  • Ability to provide technical direction to other developers
  • Strong and creative problem solving abilities
  • Strong technology insight with a full appreciation of how technology can enable positive business change
  • Strong understanding of software development methods, methodologies and technology
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Strong expertise with shell scripting and/or Python programming
  • Strong expertise with database application development for SQL databases
  • Experience with developing reporting applications (preferably in Power BI) is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with AI/ML is a plus
  • TCP/IP networking knowledge
  • Ability to convey technical security concepts to non-technical audience
