Define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, leading edge database/applications company.Responsible for creating and implementing system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliablility of the system. Manage the load configurations of a central data communication processor and make recommendations for purchase or upgrade of data networks. Coordinate terminal orders and cable installation, network system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing, and servicing. Approves action requests and specifies purchase requisitions. Negotiates and places orders with common carriers. May play a team leader role for developing System Administrators.Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Eight years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS in Computer Science or related field., The Advance Infrastructure Support team under Oracle Managed Cloud Services is looking for multi-talented Devops/Cloud Engineer in principal role with expert level knowledge in supporting infrastructure and applications built on a mix of Oracle and Open Source technologies.The Cloud Engineer will develop & deliver flexible, reusable solutions for managing the infrastructure which spreads across 8 datacenters across the globe and rapidly expanding further. These solutions can include reusable components, automation scripts and/or orchestration recipes developed to leverage services & platforms in the Oracle Public Cloud (OPC)The team : Oracle Managed Cloud Services (OMCS) is a division under Oracle Public Cloud (OPC) IaaS . The Advance Infrastructure Support (AIS) team is a group of highly competent technical engineers that drives the core infrastructure management . At present we re transforming towards the Infrastructure as Code mantra .Experience: 12+ yearsEducation Qualification: B Tech/ M Tech / MCA or equivalent experience or combination of related education and experience.Roles & Responsibilities:Understands and lives Devops mantra Infrastructure as code and Automate all thingsEvaluate the requirement & understand the objectives clearly to design and develop a detail plan for deployment of various automation tools .Develop reusable solutions, to assist and accelerate the build, delivery and support of complex heterogeneous compute, storage and network infrastructure in OPC IaaS . Share, evangelize, and practice cloud development best practices and culture with development teams. Document best practices and develop repeatable processes/frameworks to accelerate the adoption of DevOps tools. Develop shared components and libraries to allow self-service of build/test automation.Required Skills: Extensive knowledge in Puppet/Mcollective/Ansible/Rundeck/Saltstack. Good knowledge in tuning & optimization of those tools is mandatory.Should have strong programming skills in Ruby / Python / Perl /Shell .Should have experience in a cloud IaaS/PaaS environment like AWS, AzureExperience in Git branching strategies and distributed development.Experience in managing Linux and Solaris environments is must; knowledge on windows an added advantage. Certifications like RHCE will be an added advantage.Should be proficient in Virtualization and storage technologies (SAN & NAS)Should be self-driven and able to handle/drive projects independently.Excellent communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and able to work in a team and also individually.Good technical writing skills.Candidate must be versatile, long-term visionary, a team-player, and enjoys working with new technologies in a fast-paced technology environment.Good to have: Experience in package managementExperience in VagrantExperience in Test AutomationExperience in Oracle technologiesExperience with Chef / AnsibleWorking in Tier 4 DatacenterITIL certification
