Job Description

As a System Administrator at Asteria Aerospace, you will provide expertise in supporting technical solutions for infrastructure requirements of varying size and complexity based on Linux/Windows platforms. You will be responsible for the maintenance of Servers, Networks (including virtual private networks), Systems and Software Security. You will be working in a fast-paced, exciting and distributed environment, monitoring, maintaining, optimizing and improving our systems while working closely with product managers and software engineers.

Specific Responsibilities :

  • Trouble shooting and resolving on day to day support on desktops / laptops /printers / mobile devices and any network infrastructure
  • Log the calls to Vendor and coordinating for the closure of the calls (AMC & Warranty systems)
  • Day to day support inclusive of OS installation of windows and Linux installation, fixing OS the bugs/patches
  • Purchase of any IT related product / spare from market if required or to be collected from vendor site.
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling up of IT infrastructure
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

Skills Required:

  • 2-3 Yrs. Professional level experience in windows and Linux system administration
  • Having good knowledge in mac, windows, Linux operating system
  • Strong Experience with firewalls and network devices
  • Basic understanding of routing and switching.
    • Strong Windows System administration skills: Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Windows 7/8/10.
    • Strong Linux Systems administration skill
    • Must have experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Microsoft Azure.
    • Must have experience with firewalls like Cyberoam, Fortinet
    • Must have strong knowledge on Microsoft Windows services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, WDS, WSUS, etc.
    • Knowledge on Virtual Platforms e.g. VMware, virtual box etc.
    • General knowledge of creating basic scripts to automate repetitive tasks
    • Good exposure in working with ISO standards and Security policies
    • Good Understanding of ITIL Best Practices producers
