Job Description

You will be a new member in our ENGINEERING COMPETENCE CENTRE - TEST ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT and carry out the design and development activities of the test systems. Main mission is to achieve the KPIs objectives, DOTD (Development on Time Delivery) and COD (Conformity on Delivery) defined by the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will own up the responsibility of the project from the time KOM is conducted till the project completion period in terms of technical solution, schedule & budget and be responsible for project life cycle activities performed during the. As the owner of design and development activities within ECC, you will be in a position: To organize and conduct the activities of your projects taking into account the needs of the various stake holders (customers and sub-contractors) . To capture detailed requirements and facilitate design activities. To lead your project activities to reach completion of the project regarding its technical, quality, schedule and customer satisfaction aspects. Establish the Product Breakdown Structure and build design definition files for sub system / system. Generate and Reviews the designs / plans by the team, ensuring all the technical and non-technical requirements are well addressed. Maintain BOM and track procurement status of materials, Provides manufacturing decision-making information by conducting Production Readiness Reviews. Implements all necessary actions in order to early detect technical, quality or planning risks or issues which may impact THALES programs schedule, and mobilize all necessary means to ensure a quick and thorough treatment. To periodically report to WPM on the progress, performance, risks and opportunities of your projects. SKILLS, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS: Experience and a proven track record for delivery in a technical, complex and sizeable Project environment Basic knowledge in project planning skills with proficiency in common project planning tool sets (such as MPP) . The ability to provide accurate and up to date project technical progress to decision-makers in the Project Management Team. Ability to work with supply chain and make it easy for them to deliver competitive bids to Thales. Ability to establish and meet deadlines, multi-task and prioritize without the requirement for regular direct supervision. : Ability to understand and interpret product Specifications / Design Definition files Have design and development experience in ATE domain for Avionics, Power and RF products. Hands on knowledge and experience in using test and measurement instruments Good knowledge of production life cycle activities of electronics and mechanical devices or equipment s. Ability to perform the inspections and acceptance tests as per ATP Knowledge on development, safety and qualification standards for defense and aerospace products. Knowledge of computer networks fundamentals and familiarity of tools like wire shark, etc Ability to install software in test benches, perform self-test operations and check. Has understandingof : Acceptance of Electronic assembly (IPCA - 610) Acceptance of Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies (IPCA 620) Knowledge of mechanical machining, painting and chemical treatments. Has working experience in EMI / EMC testing and CE qualification tests Has working experience in performing DO-160 / MIL-810 qualification knowledge Basic Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office The following skills are a PLUS: Experience on design, development and qualification of RF based products Configuration Tools SVN, GIT-HUB Programming: Labview / C / Labwindows CVI Script Languages (Shell utilities) Knowledge of JIRA, Doors, Clear Case Knowledge in CAD tools Electrical and Mechanical (AUTOCAD, CATIA) PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES : EDUCATION: An Engineering degree in Electronics / Electrical engineering (Specialization in Power electronics, RF Engineering is preferred) . PERSONAL COMPETENCIES : Solution oriented, team-working Intercultural communication, including the empathy to work in an international team Flexibility and availability to travel to subcontractor premises across India from time to time. LANGUAGES: Fluency in English French is a Plus,
