As a Software Systems Engineering Manager at Allegion India, you will be leading a team of Software Engineers and Interaction/UI Designers to drive the next-generation IoT software connecting electromechanical locks and access control systems. Your responsibilities include:- **People Leadership**: - Lead, coach, and mentor a team in Bangalore - Manage performance, career development, and resource allocation - Build a culture of trust and inclusivity - Identify and remove roadblocks to success - Support organizational change and maintain an open-door policy- **Competency Building**: - Strengthen the Systems Engineering competency in GSS through continuous improvement and innovation- **Technical Leadership**: - Provide technical guidance in managing complex technical requirements for IoT and access control products- **Design Integration**: - Oversee the UI/UX design workflow and drive design to code approach using AI- **Project Oversight**: - Coach team on Technical Design Reviews - Identify program risks and lead the definition of Operations Concepts- **Strategic Collaboration**: - Partner with product management, architecture, and security teams- **Scope Management**: - Lead the management of technical scope throughout the development lifecycleQualifications required for this role:- Proven Leadership in people management- At least 8 years experience in IoT devices, access control, or similar industries- Deep experience in Systems Engineering processes- Ability to manage and provide direction to Interaction and UI Designers- Strong project management skills- Excellent communication skills bridging business and technical aspects- Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols, cloud architectures, and mobile SDKsExperience:- 15 to 20 years in the industry and 5 years in Software Systems EngineeringPreferred Skills:- Experience in IoT, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi based product developmentEducation:- BE or M.Tech in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fieldPreferred credentials:- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)- Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP)Allegion offers a Great Place to Grow your Career if you are seeking a rewarding opportunity, value personal well-being and balance, and are looking for a company that invests in professional development.Allegion is committed to building and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace where all differences and similarities are embraced.
