Job Description

These values combine to help us create important work all over the world to advance how people live and work.Designs, Develops automation for tests also troubleshoots and debugs test scripts. to support system firmware software enhancements and new products. Develops tests supporting system firmware addressing CPU, Memory System Errors and System accessories.Responsibilities:

  • Develops test cases analyzing the new feature enabled or specific enhancements or bug fixes planned in system firmware.
  • Analyze and design and determine the automation to carried out on the identified tests. Develop the same as per the guideline / framework established .
  • Executes portions of testing plans, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and triage issues in synch with developers and suggests changes or improvements.
  • Participates as a member of project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced partners in developing reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
  • Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics and communication , Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-6 years working experience in Infrastructure/Systems domain, telecom/embedded domain.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Using software systems test tools and languages supporting test Automation.
  • Understanding on networking and working experience in Linux type of operating systems
  • Testing experiences on PC or server evaluation platforms (Intel, AMI, ARM,IBM PowerPC,CISCO), HW or Telco platforms, microprocessors, microcontrollers, embedded applications, embedded orReal time OS
  • Good understanding of Manageability firmware (iLo, OA, iDRAC) on Mission Critical Servers
  • Experience in development of automation frameworks, FW test bench or work bench & HW Debug tools know how would be preferred
  • Good Scripting knowledge in Python
  • Experience in QA function for OS/firmware based components
  • Working knowledge of OS system level concepts File-system, Basic networking and OS administration knowledge with Unix/Linux/Windows systems
  • Good analytical, problem solving & debugging skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English.
