Job Description

Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Tableau Admin, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Candidate will be involved in the full software lifecycle covering planning, architecture, design, documentation, implementation, release and maintenance of Tableau solutions
  2. Candidate will work with the other project teamsand help them to implement Tableau projects.
  3. Candidate also has to do Tableau production support for existing Tableau components in production along with sharing application development best practices.
  4. Candidate must be able to identify where design decisions have wider impacts, and raising those as well as risks and issues as appropriate
  5. Candidate will communicate technical and architecture solutions in a clear and concise manner
  6. Candidate will create and maintain thorough, up-to-date, technical systems documentation for any and all customization and maintenance actions taken
The Skills youllneedIn order to be successful in this role, you must have the following skills & experience:
  1. Solid experience in administrating and upgrading Tableau Server Cluster 5+ years. Experience of Tableau 2018.3.x and 2019.1 beneficial
  2. Solid experience in code promotion/migration
  3. Solid experience in programming skillset in Python, REST, Windows Batch, Linux BASH with experience using Tableau Server Client Python SDK, Document API, Extract API, REST API
  4. Experience with automating server build and configurations
  5. Experience in Tableau Desktop and Prep development lifecycle
  6. Experience in using TabJolt for load/stress testing on environments
  7. Experience in using TabMigrate, Tabjolt, Tabmon, TabViewer, Silent Installer, Web Data Connector
  8. Experience in certificate management and PKI
  9. Experience in Windows server management 2012+
  10. Experience in Git
  11. Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban)
Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills)
  • Experience in either Splunk OR ElasticSearch and Kibana
  • Exposure to C# or Java
  • Has completed Tableau Server Administration and Server Architecture courses
