Job Description

  • Whatever technologies, languages, or development environments yoursquove been using, we expect you have mastered them in depth
  • Has atleast 3 year of experience managing a team - Can build a strong team and also lead/nurture freshers or young programmers into independent developers
  • Your programming ability is way above average, as demonstrated by a continuous string of successful projects
  • Able to not only implement, but also innovate and suggest improvements (both process and code)
  • Can help estimate and plan tech architectures, project effort and timelines
  • Can work with tight yet realistic deadlines
  • Has an experience of handling offshore/overseas projects
  • Is extremely comfortable in at least 3 of the following five: PHP, MySQL, Apache, Ruby, Git and JQuery
  • We are not good at spoon feeding - so we are after problem solvers.If you were here last 6 months in this position, you would have:
  • Planned and designed tech architecture for more than 8 projects, including creating project and tech deployment plans
  • Liaised with the relevant account managers to understand briefs and help resource these briefs
  • Setup 2 servers and investigated high down time on one of them
  • Helped seamlessly integrate different pieces online systems for a client over 4 weeks with no critical bugs in the end
  • Planned and written a few algorithms taking into account Markov chains, Levenshtein distance, and other creative solutions for some interesting problems
  • Setup database tables, content management systems, environments or front-end frameworks to complement the work of the executing team
  • Understood client briefs, the bigger picture and gone above and beyond what is given to ensure that the client goals are achieved properly
  • Joined some client meetings to support our account managers on some of the projects
  • Created strong internal processes to manage work traffic and managed a tech team
  • Manage projects and delivery where relevant, especially from a tech perspective
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for all aspects of the account including performance and communication
