I f you re a hands-on technologist who wants to make an impact, come join us!About the teamThe Enterprise Data Platform team manages the central platform for Nokia Enterprise Data, to facilitate reporting, analytic and automation needs. We ingest, store, and distribute all kinds of data, from multiple Nokia systems. We are looking for a Technical Lead to play a key role in the development and enhancement of our Azure based data platform. What you will learn and contribute to Are you passionate about solving problems As part of our team, you will:
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to analyse demands, gather requirements, and translate these to data solutions.
• Design ETL/ELT ingestion processes, pipelines from the source systems to the Enterprise Data Platform.
• Build and maintain data integrations to support the continuous increase in data volume and complexity.
• Lead and mentor junior data engineers, plan and review their deliverables, oversee timely delivery of individual work streams.
• Be responsible for the smooth running of the data platform by contributing to monitoring of data pipelines, improving system performance, robustness, and flexibility, resolving end user problems, and driving platform adoption.
We are looking for a proactive key member who will have a key role in leading the development of our data platform. This is a hands-on technical role in a dynamic agile environment, working directly with developers, architects, IT engineers, product managers and internal customers.Your skills and experience
• At least 10 years of experience in the field of ETL / Data Engineering. End to end understand of data platforms including data ingestion, curation, governance and reporting.
• Hands on development and design experience working on a wide variety of data solutions . Good overall understanding of solution architecture.
• Solid foundation database skills, ETL design and development skills.
• Hands-on experience developing solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Azure Data and Analytics services like SQL Server/Azure SQL DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks , Azure Synapse etc.
• Experience with Python / Spark and Delta Lake. Familiar with big data patterns like lake house.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, version control tools like GIT / VSTS.
• Familiar with IDE s like Visual Studio/VSCode.
• Good knowledge about Azure cloud infrastructure, security, cost and application development.
• Worked in Agile/Scrum teams, familiar with different project management approaches.
• Understanding of ETL design patterns like metadata driven approaches, delta loading.
• Ability and expertise on post deployment monitoring and support
• Previous experience in design, code reviews, technical mentoring.
Desired skills
• Experience in API/Web App development using technologies like .NET/C# would be a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP systems will be valued.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Great communication skills.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty, willingness to step out of your comfort zone, persistence to overcome challenges. Go-getter with a let s get it done attitude.
