Security Business Group (SBG) of Cisco Systems (India) is looking to hire experienced test engineers for the Security Services Platform Test Team.What Youll Do * Must demonstrate a system-level focus while understanding the impact of every component.* Design, Develop and execute platform capabilities and overall end-to-end testing for Next Generation Security Platforms for Cisco, a market leader in security products and technologies. * Work closely with developers and product management teams at various stages such as product starting from idea conceptualization till delivering it to customer* Extremely motivated engineer and passionate about learning and contributing to the team and the business with can do attitude* Strong communication skills, teamwork and a confirmed ability to handle challenging high priority tasks.* Work closely with a cross functional team and drive/collaborate with other technical leaders/software engineers on system/functional test plan design of new features.* You will provide technical guidance and leadership to the engineers* Design, Develop, enhance and execute automated test scripts for various functional areas* Identify improvement gaps and areas to help mature the product on its quality* Review and sign off on test requirements and specification documents* Dedication to Quality: Ability to ensure and commit to a higher standard of quality than usual in the face of time to market pressuresWho Youll Work With You will work with the young , energetic & dynamic security development team . You will also have to closely work with the Test Architects, TLs & PEs who define strategies for the further products. Cisco is changing the way we work, live, play, and learn.Who You Are Required skills:* BSEE/ MSEE/CS with 8 to 14+ years of experience in a software Testing position.* Thorough knowledge of Network security concepts, secure network design/deployments* Hands on experience with working on Firewall, IPS, Security management, Routers and Switches* knowledge of using Traffic generator tools and performance testing* Experience in Automation, Programming skills in Python/TCL etc.* Experience with Linux-based systems and network troubleshooting tools* Experience with networking and protocols like TCP/UDP, L2/L3 debugging.* Ability to debug and troubleshoot network and OS issues* Strong OS fundamentals, data-path & understanding of performance/space tradeoffs on distributed platforms.Highly Desired skills: * Prior experience of platform testing activities.* Python framework development experience* Knowledge of Security Technologies - Firewalls, IPS and Web security.* Cisco product and NXOS, IOS knowledge is helpful.* Proactive, strong sense of ownership and able to work independently with minimal supervision.* Agile software development experience.Why Cisco#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference.
