Job Description

Position Purpose Summary

Cargill Digital Labs is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Technical Product Manager to play a key role in the development of Digital Platforms like Data Platforms, Agri Platforms, Software Products and Intelligent Software like Chatbots product lines, Intelligent Digital Assistants in Bangalore, according to our agile principles. This role will be focused on Technical Software Management.

This individual will drive the development of features and product enhancements. You will ensure that the voice of the business and the customer is fully represented in the Agile process. You will work with architects, product managers, marketing and development teams to ensure that business, quality and functional goals are met with each product release.

Principal Accountabilities

50%

  • Be a hands-on coach to the engineering team and also business users
  • To enable our customers to create new business models and revenue streams from software.
  • Create user stories by collaborating with business product owners/managers, marketing and engineering. Identify clear Acceptance Criteria for each
  • Work with development teams to ensure that they understand the vision and scope for each feature.
  • Actively participate in the agile processes, playing the product owner role from tech perspective.
  • Remove/mitigate impediments impacting successful completion of Release/Sprint goals.
  • Support Product Management with customer research and gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders on feature development
  • Support customer interactions, specifically when validating new functionality or collating information about enhancement requests or defects.
  • Collect and maintain competitive data for reference by the organization

  • Help create marketing materials such as datasheets and white papers that communicate the benefits of our product offerings to customers, reflecting our position as an established industry leader
  • Be the product ambassador and expert in our Bangalore office that includes engineers, managers and technical support staff.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally.

  • Ideate newer products that having emerging technical capabilities like Blockchain, IoT, UAV, NLP, Computer Vision.
  • Roadmap future vision for emerging technology software products
  • Market CDL and help create a robust pipeline
  • Manage the teams workload and capacity
  • Manage effective continuous performance discussions with the team to ensure the timely completion of performance appraisals
  • Promote a strong team culture by making the team members feel valued and fostering an environment of open communication and teamwork.
  • Review work completed by the team and provide timely feedback to enable them to improve their performances

Minimum Requi r ed Qualifications

  • Masters s or Bachelor s in STEM degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Product Manager in AgTech, AgriBusiness and/or other internet startups
  • Substantial technical background is a must including experience working with complex software products.
  • SaaS experience beneficial including understanding SaaS architecture, business models, implementation challenges, etc.

P r efer r ed Qualifications

  • Agile software development experience
  • Several years in a product management or product owner role is preferential
  • Familiarity with User Experience / UI Design
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills as well as attention to detail
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • A real team player
  • Must be able to demonstrate success in prior position
