Job Description

- We are seeking a strong Technical Project Director with the ability to manage and lead the development team whilst overseeing the development of a wide variety of digital marketing communication projects. The successful candidate must be comfortable working on projects that combine multiple technologies and be able to successfully scope requirements and translate them into realizable objectives. Given the seniority of the role, there is expectation that the candidate will also be able to work with development partners to establish, deliver and troubleshoot applications on a technical level. There is also an opportunity to help establish and develop departmental best practice and mentor junior members of the project management team. Projects will include various responsive website builds on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and UX and SEO consultancy. Experience of working in an agency is essential.Responsibilities
  - Line Management of the Development team
  - Create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate in response to changing conditions
  - Create and maintain the full range of documentation for each project
  - Collaborate with account managers and clients to scope, build and deliver projects
  - Contribute to the ongoing evolution of departmental process and best practice
  - Contribute to pitches and project work in collaboration with other team members
  - Provide technical advice and support to account managers exploring client requirements
  - Liaise with clients, development teams and other interested parties
  - Identify required resources and assign tasks to appropriate individuals
  - Review deliverables before releasing to client.
  Skills
  - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  - Experience working in an agency environment
  - Excellent communication skills, including client facing and managing a range of stakeholders
  - Comprehensive understanding of current web technologies, both front end and back end, and an ability to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses
  - Clear understanding of user expectations and usability standards
  - Comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  - Familiarity with a range of project management methodologies and tools JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project/Smart Sheets.
  - Experience managing a variety of digital interactive projects both on web and on mobile devices
  - Experience working with creative teams
  - Excellent requirements gathering knowledge / experience running scoping workshops
  - Ability to effectively research and estimate project scopes, identify risks and evaluate timings
  - A comprehensive background in developing CMS, eCommerce and bespoke web applications
  - Ability to identify risks and develop contingencies
  - Ability to support and manage a team of developers, creative, SEO and UX specialists
  - Ability to identify and exploit skills in team members
