Job Description

Project Description Markets, Treasury applications Technical Support on 245 basis for a large Australian Bank on a Managed Services Basis Non-Murex applications are in-house markets applications (Java, C#, .Net technologies) for Front Office, Risk, FX, Middle Office etcResponsibilities

      - Monitor and Maintain system support
      - Should be willing to work in shifts
      - Should be willing to support non-Murex applications along with supporting Murex
      - Strong technical knowledge of SQL, Shell scripting and TWS Job scheduling, control-m
      - Able to provide 24x7 operational support including Weekends and public holidays
      - Very clear communication skills both written and oral
      - Able to driverecommend solutions to extended technology teams.
      - Self-starter with excellent crisis management skills.
    - Able to facilitate meetings and lead the technical team in driving investigation of incidents and corrective actions follow-ups
Skills Must have
      Experience - 1-3 Yrs of relevant Markets application support experience
      General Skills:
      Good Unix knowledge - Commands, Shell scripting
      Good SQL knowledge
      Good Support Process - Incident Management, Problem Management Change management etc
      Good Communication & Stakeholder management
      Job Scheduling tool knowledge - Control M (Browse & Update) or any similar tool
      Support experience on Trading capital market related tool similar to Murex
      Good in UNIX command is mandatory but shell scripting at a working knowledge should be fine.
      Good to have Murex skills (but not mandatory)
      1) Murex Application and database Architecture
      2) Murex Accounting Configuration
      3) Datamart Dynamic tablesFeedersbatch Configuration
      4) Murex RTI (Realtime) Configuration and concepts for Market Data
      5) Hands on Experience in MXML development and Debugging (Must)
      6) hadns on experience in any RDBMS (ORACLESYBASE) (sqlPl-sql)
      Desired Skills:
      1) Experience in JAVAXML( will be an added advantage).
      2) Experinece in Shell Scripting ( experience in perl scripting will be an added advantage).
      3) Experience on Any treasuly application other than Murex (Will be an added advantage)
      4) Experience in Operatins System like Unix SoalrisHP-UXWindows
      5) Experience in Various version of Murex will be an added advantage.
      6) Knowledge of one or more Sheduling tool.
      Nice to Have:
      Understanding of Trade Life Cycle (Pricing Booking Validation Confirmation Settlements Accounting Reporting Events Market Risk Credit Risk Market Data etc)
      Murex specific APIs
      - Distribution
      - Flex
      Domain knowledge :
      Should possess an understanding of financial markets
      Basic knowledge on financial instruments such as Interest Rate Derivatives, Credit Derivatives,Currency Derivatives,Swaps, Futures, Options, FRA, etc.
    Nice to have
        Minimum academic requirements :
        Bachelors Degree from a reputed university with good passing scores
