Job Description

19317 Test Engineer I (Open)Position Type:Full timeLocation(s):IN.Bangalore.Office1Summary:This job is responsible for creating/executing manual/automated test plans. Where required by the project, will be responsible for supporting the operational duties of the software during maintenance windows. Ability to work within a cross functional Agile team to develop new components in a highly iterative fashion.Position Details:

  • Understanding of the Agile software development life cycle
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies and principals
  • Object Oriented Language experience Python or C# .Net
  • Knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
  • Experience with automation tools such as UFT, CodedUI or other test framework
  • Experience with CI Tools such as Jenkins
  • Confidence and ability to communicate and collaborate with team members
  • Experience using Defect tracking toolsResponsibilities of the Role
  • Analyze user requirements as well as product architecture/design to derive testing requirements
  • Design and author test cases for functional and non-functional testing
  • Facilitate creation and execution of automated teststest suites
  • Write and execute automated and manual tests as needed
  • Utilize innovative test technologies to develop test strategy
  • Assist in assessing product quality and release readiness
  • Accurately describe technical details and how to recreate an issue in order document defects found in codeRequirements
  • Minimum of one year of software testing experience
  • A passion for quality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to decompose complex problems and perform root cause analyses
  • Ability to understand and write code in C#, Python, or other high- level languages
  • Hands-on software testing or development experience with client-server desktop, web, or mobile applications
  • A self-motivated team player with an interest in continuous learning
  • Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred
