We re involved in the whole testing process from preparing test and diagnostic programs to recommending changes in testing equipment procedures and designing new testing equipment.Join us as a Test Engineer on our Test Engineering team in Bangalore to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you ll achieve As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and documenting test plans and test cases for newly developed or current hardware and solutions products based on the Business Contract product specifications. You will collaborate with designers and technologists to determine test requirements and develop test tools for test projects.You will: Develop risk management plans based on all information available to determine technical and logistical risk to completing test activities as planned Manage daily execution of test plan including guidance of technicians internally and/or third- party test facility Report test execution progress and issues to the engineering team, and manage the issues from creation to closure Work with Development to resolve product issues discovered during test Execute test automation scripts, identify opportunities for increased use of test automation Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here s what we are looking for with this role:
• Execute to the test plan for Enterprise System Test Team
• Support Development of use cases for new features based on customer usage model
• Setup and configure the server and related infrastructure as per customer environment and report of any issues to ensure quality of releases
• Run the Load/stress tool and analyze the system for any issues and reporting the same
• Understand various system dependencies and performs Defect triaging and provide the details in defect
• Maintain use case based on customer field issues/defect gaps/customer usage/technical whitepapers
• Setup/maintain various systems monitoring systems and use the same as for testing
• Timely verification of defect fixes and perform regression tests around the fixes.
• Demonstrate team work and foster a collaborative environment for continues learning and improvement
Essential Requirements
• Experience of 3-6 years of Testing in Server/(SAN, NAS, NVMe, SAS, SATA) , Networking( FC, FCoE, ISCSI, TCP/IP) and Hardware knowledge
• gOOD Knowledge of Hubs, Switches, Routers, Storage, Active Directory, Windows Server OS (2016, 2019), Linux, VMWare (ESXi 6.5, ESXi i 6.7, 7.0), Vsphere, VCentre
• Experience in Server Monitoring tools & Certifications such as MCSE, MCP, CCNA, RHCE, VCP would be a plus.
• Must have excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Exposure to Management and monitoring tools like Nagios, SCCM, Nessus and Test processes and testing like performance, integration, Security and system testing would be desirable.
