    Job summaryAmazon Threat Intelligence Analysts play a key role in the identification, interpretation and dissemination of intelligence crucial to the protection of Amazon customers and partners from fraudulent actors. Intelligence Analysts provide timely updates about threats and vulnerabilities, and work to mitigate them.Your role will focus on identification, analysis, processing, and distribution of finished intelligence. You will quickly and discreetly provide intelligence to assist in decision making to actively thwart emergent and current threats that impact our customers. Specific duties of this role include: intelligence gathering, processing incoming information, developing reports and documentation, identifying and investigating new vulnerabilities, translating analysis into actionable intelligence, establishing and maintaining systematic intelligence records and files, and integrating incoming information with past and current intelligence and investigations.A successful candidate prioritizes well, communicates clearly, and has a consistent track record of delivering results. Candidates must be proactive in removing roadblocks, able to independently dive multiple layers deep to conduct thorough investigations by going beyond any SOP. You will need to influence internal and external stakeholders that are spread across the world, work with and support Program Managers, and be able to effectively rally support for your initiatives. A successful candidate will set a new bar for the team in terms of curiosity.Key job responsibilitiesThreat Intelligence Analyst is expected to conduct investigations on threats that impact the Amazon sellers and buyers. They are expected to identify the root cause of the issue and share it with the PMs/ stakeholders.A day in the lifeThreat Intelligence Analyst is expected to conduct investigations on threats that impact the Amazon sellers and buyers. They are expected to identify the root cause of the issue and share it with the PMs/ stakeholders.About the teamOur mission is to identify & mitigate fraud and abuse impacting Amazon buyers and sellers. Our findings are shared in the form of finished intelligence with stakeholders., Bachelors degree or its equivalent in years of experience in fields related to intelligence, fraud, and/or abuse investigations Demonstrated experience performing open-source research on a variety of topics Proven high level of integrity and discretion to handle confidential information Demonstrated ability to investigate complex and highly technical problems, and perform root cause analysis Foundational knowledge/experience in fundamental best practices in cyber security Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior management Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations. Four-year degree related to the following fields of study: Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Cyber Security, Investigative Journalism Experience in investigating fraud, abuse and eCrime Familiarity with foreign-language media sources, both traditional and non-traditional Multilingual with preference for Russian, Chinese languages (Mandarin, Cantonese), and/or Japanese Knowledge of retail and social media ecosystems Proven ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situation Experience with SQL
