Job Description

  • Reviewing of Sovereign, Supra-National and Agency issuers for their creditworthiness, and updating periodic reviews
  • Support Macroeconomic and Sovereign risk research effort Fundamental and Quantitative Analysis
  • Should be able to analyze sovereign and quasi government credit risk
  • Summarizes external rating changes, distribute email and update Rating Change Log
  • Monitoring macroeconomic trends and evaluating their impact on financial markets
  • Assist the team with views and creating slides for presentations / thought pieces.
  • Create/improve data sheets that are used to analyze every release in each country that we cover.
  • Produce monthly surveillance spread sheets for the global Sovereign, Supra and Agency portfolio
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree required, prefer degree in Business or Economics or other quantitate related degree with Financial Accounting course work required
  • Minimum 4-7 years related experience
Skills/ Knowledge:
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and articulate financial results, including ratio and trend analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Experience working and thriving as part of a global team
  • Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, work independently while maintaining attention to detail and meet deadlines in a demanding and deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Must possess strong communication skills with ability to participate in conference calls and contribute to presentation of financial results to financial and non-financial audiences at various levels of seniority
  • Solid business knowledge as it relates to the financial services industry
  • Financial product and institution knowledge, knowledge in credit derivatives would be an advantage
  • This is a visible role. Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills, and ability to present complex financial matters to management
