Job Description

Relevant Experience Required 2 to 8yearsEssential Skill:

  • Candidates should have experience of diesel engine fundamentals & automotive/off-highway applications, including experience of Tier I supplier for engine management systems, FIE suppliers, interface tools & software (e.g. INCA, ATI Vision,).
  • Experience and knowledge in automotive (CV) /off-highway Industry and understanding of different Emission Control Technologies including After-treatment devices is advantageous.
  • Experience in tools like INCA/ VISU, Uniplot, MATLAB/Simulink and Matlab scriptingDesired Skill:
  • Good communication, analytical, problem solving, time management skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Working experience with international customers (US, Germany, Japan) would be added advantage.Job Responsibility:
  • Responsible for simulation of performance & emission development for Engines and exhaust after treatment system including OBD system validation in a virtual vehicle simulation platform.
  • Complete understanding of Engine Performance and emission Standards.
  • Complete understanding of Engine and after treatment management system.
  • Conduct the simulation tests viz. WHTC/ NRTC, WHSC/ESC, Full Load & Part Load performance for engine & exhaust after treatment including OBD validation for:
    • Sea level
    • Hot, cold and climatic condition
  • Statistical analysis, performance and emission with full level of test data integrity.
  • Test data processing, analysis (Perform root cause analysis of dataset/ software (ECU) and dataset release.
  • Engine calibration validation activities, including hot, cold and altitude climatic simulations
  • Areas of calibration responsibilities could include:
    • Engine and after treatment calibration
    • OBD system validation & Fault detection validation
  • Participate in regular technical reviews.
