Job Description

  • Microservices/API Developer - Develop APIs/Microservices to integrate in the solution ecosystem
  • Work in Agile delivery model to deliver incremental functionality
  • Collaborate with other team mates to ensure integrated end-to-end design
  • Document design decisions and enforce existing process guidelines
  • Follow best practices for Software Development
  • An inclination towards learning new technologies and applying them to solve customer problems
  • Mentor junior developers
  • Leverage DevOps practices for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
  • Conduct design & code reviews
  • Monitor operating efficiency of existing application systems
Basic Qualifications
  • At least 5 years experience in Java application development using Java 8 or Java 11
  • 3+ years of experience in designing enterprise-scale applications (preferably Cloud Native)
  • At least 2 years of experience in application development with relational database or NoSQL databases
  • At least 3 years of experience in building RESTful APIs using Swagger, OpenAPI, REST, AWS / Azure, API Gateway setup (API Manager, APIGEE), Spring security / OAUTH
  • At least 2 years of experience in building Microservices from end to end (incl. prod deployments) using frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, WebFlux / Vert.x / Microprofile / Akka
  • Understanding of functional interfaces, lambdas, streams and immutability in distributed systems
  • At least 1 year of experience in integration with messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ in solution design/development
  • 2+ years of experience in testing frameworks to develop ATDDs using Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, or SoapUI
  • 2+ years experience in one of the following Build and CICD technologies: SVN, GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus or Sonar
  • 2+ years of experience in application deployments on AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Docker, Ansible, Chef or Terraform
  • Experience in application s Operational maintenance and performance tuning
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in container orchestration frameworks: Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or Amazon ECS
  • 1+ years of Reactive & functional programming paradigm experience using Java frameworks such as Reactor, Immutables, Vavr
  • Experience with rules engine integration, micro-services orchestration framework
  • Experience using GraphQL with graphql-java would be nice to have
