  • Install and maintain up- to-date Operational System software, patch levels, firmware, drivers and related program products
  • Proficient in infrastructure architecture of large-scale, automated environments
  • Responsible for participating in the architecture design of the solution then executing the strategy set by architecture.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of Data center architecture and technology solutions involving Dell/HP/IBM Servers & Blade servers
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement through innovation and change.
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis while working in a diverse technology environment
What you bring
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Unix administration background (AIX / Solaris / HP-UX / RHEL / SuSE)
  • Minimum 6 years of experience on Aix/Linux/Solaris Administration
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of Data center architecture and technology solutions involving Dell/HP/IBM Servers & Blade servers
  • Experience with Clustering, Application Programming, System Admin
  • Hands on customized Shell Scripting (Puppet, GNU bash, Python, Ruby and Perl)
  • List, create, delete partitions on MBR and GPT disks
  • Strong Analytical skill in File system LVM, DFS, XFS, GFS, JFS, ZFS, rPools, , Ext3, Ext4, VxVM, SVM file systems.
  • Good Analytical resolving skill of TCP/IP, NFS, DNS, LDAP, FTP, NTP, SMTP, Samba, Apache, Send mail, Qmail, NIS
  • Troubleshooting and Controlling of Jobs using Cron. Performing remote connections and file transfer, creating archives, managing local disk devices and performing system security.
  • Expertise in LVM configuration & troubleshooting include vgimporting/vgexporting and LVM recovery Experience.
  • Significant exposure on the following systems disciplines: Storage Backup High Availability / Disaster Recovery Networking Performance Security
  • Large environment experience working with enterprise server platforms; preferably IBM xSeries, HP and SUN SPARC
  • Should have a good understanding of SAN/NAS technologies and RAID configurations.
  • Monitoring and reporting associated with the reliability and security of the domain
  • Monitoring changes to domain root and domain controllers OU to ensure unauthorized changes do not occur
  • Knowledge of VERITAS Cluster Service
  • Experience with ITIL processes like Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Release Management and Configuration Management, Availability Management
  • AIX, RHCE/RHCA certification is mandate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors.
  • Required Bachelor s degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline.
