Job Description

  1. Responsible for the upstream cell culture manufacturing operations for the production of monoclonal antibodies.
  2. Organizing workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing work schedules to meet the production targets.
  3. Managing and mentoring a large group of experienced employees for upstream operations.
  4. Analysing and resolving equipment, process and operational problems in an effective and timely manner.
  5. Identifying opportunities and implementing measures for COGS reduction and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve better productivity.
  6. Coordinating with cross functional teams for the smooth functioning of operations to achieve the departmental objectives.
  7. Facing internal and external audits, ensuring highest level of compliance for GMP and EHS norms.
Requirements:
  1. M.Sc / M.Tech in Biotechnology or Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  2. 7-15 years of industrial experience in the field of upstream process.
  3. Experience in large scale mammalian cell culture manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals for commercial and clinical requirements.
  4. Thorough knowledge of cGMPs related to the production of protein therapeutics.
  5. Strong communication and cross-department collaboration skills.
  6. Organizational and leadership abilities.
