We are actively seeking an Engineer at the Associate level for the Serverless compute team. Our team works on the public cloud serverless platforms(AWS Lambda, Gooogle Cloud Run etc.) & JP Morgan s on-prem serverless platform. The team is based out of India & the US with customers globally based out of many locations. As a member of our Compute,Networking & Storage(CNS) team we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation & engineering practices. You will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Responsibilities shall include:
• Enable AWS & GCP capabilities for application teams in JPMC to use the public cloud solutions
• Provide guided and automated path to provision the cloud capabilities.
• Support the commonly used languages and frameworks to be easily deployed on public cloud.
• Design, Develop, and Operate solutions for a cloud computing platform with bake in attributes of security, auditability and observability
• Define and build value-add services on the platform using cloud-native principles
• Create technical design for development and integration of new software and system technologies
• Participate in software and system performance analysis and tuning, service capacity planning and demand forecasting
• Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via developing tools and automation
• Adopting cutting-edge technologies and creating best-of-breed solutions by researching and evaluating alternate solutions
• Help evangelize and adopt serverless to an eco-system of developers in the technical community
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience and expert level proficiency with at least one programming/scripting languages such as Java, Golang, JavaScript and Python
• Experience in the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure
• Expert level proficiency in IaC tools like Terraform
• Experience in Kubernetes, Docker and Containers is essential.
• Experience in the public cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure), is a big plus.
• Experience in Git and tools like Jenkins and/or Ansible is essential
• Experience in programming frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot, Spring Cloud or Django etc.) is a plus
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - desire and expertise to build and solve complex problems in systems at scale
• Computer Science degree from a top-tier college preferred
