Qualifications Minimum qualifications:Experience communicating research results through written reports and presentations.Ability to speak and write in English and one other Indic language fluently and idiomatically.Preferred qualifications:Masters or PhD in Human- Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, Information Science, Human Factors, Social Sciences or related field.Experience working with SMBs or enterprise users.Software product development and UI design process experience. Technical experience with graphic/ video editing tools.Knowledge of strengths and shortcomings of quantitative research methods (e.g. when and how to apply them during each product phase: interviews, usability testing, diary studies, contextual inquiries).Excellent organizational skills. About the job User Experience (UX) Researchers work to answer the most challenging questions in design. In this role, you will reveal what our users need from our products by conducting primary research, exploring the behaviors and motivations of our users, and working with teams of Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and others to develop new features. You ll inspire change at all stages of product development by delivering exciting oral, written and visual presentations about our findings. Most importantly, your job as a researcher is to help the UX team understand what would make a user s experiences feel more intuitive, accessible, fun and even magical.With considerable experience, you evaluate all the features contributing to user experience, providing expertise, collaborating internally and occasionally leading projects. As part of the Assistant NBU UXR team, you ll champion international research efforts for our Verticals team (based in Bangalore). You ll identify new opportunities, define user journeys, and inform product and design decisions for Search, Media, Local and more. Responsibilities Partner closely with the lead researcher, Product Management, Engineering, and Sales teams to understand research needs and craft and execute studies that address these priorities.Conduct research along the entire development cycle. Identify opportunities to bring new products to market, to testing new concepts and interactive prototypes, to evaluating post- launch to ensure that the products offer utility and delight to users.Analyze user feedback and distill into written and visual reports (e.g. slide decks, graphs, highlight videos, etc.).Deliver engaging and clear insights and actionable recommendations that drive decision making within our team.Be proactive in voicing the user needs and representing the user to the team.Location Bengaluru, Karnataka, India,
