A valet is a position located in many full-service hotels and other high-end establishments. A valet greets guests upon their arrival and provides customer service by parking and retrieving their vehicle. Many employees who hold the job title of valet began in customer-focused roles such as front desk clerks or restaurant waiters. Additionally, a valet ensures the parking area is clean and safe. They welcome questions from guests and recommend local places to visit and top attractions.A valet is considered an entry-level position. However, a valid driver license and spotless driving record are required. Accountability and personal integrity are important as a valet, due to the availability of customers private and sensitive information.
