Job Description

    Associate Director - Growth will be responsible for managing a category segment at Vedantu. Figuring out the best fit product(s), the pricing, and overall promotion in the respective category to maximize consumer appeal. Anticipating customer needs and incorporating them into the functional roadmap will drive a major change or enhancement for customer experience influencing category needs based on their knowledge of competitive trends. Responsibilities: 1. Driving growth of the relevant category keeping in mind the consumer and competition.2. Owning P&L for the relevant category in alignment with business goals. The Category manager would be responsible for the revenue targets as well as the gross margins.3. Develop strategic customer acquisition and retention plans to drive profitable growth.4. Work with different departments to identify growth opportunities throughout the entire company.5. Identifying top channels and running organic experiments to drive growth.6. Analyze data or insights or carry out appropriate research/prototyping to determine industry and consumer trends.7. Devise long-term development strategies for a product(s) of the corresponding categories8. Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.9. Place appropriate processes to ensure the right product availability that meets consumer demands.10. Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.11. Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category.12. Collaborate with academics and the supply side to ensure promised levels of customer experience.13. Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of service within pre-decided cost. Requirements: 1. High aptitude and hunger to work on the unknowns and solve problems.2. Experience in incubating and driving customer-facing programs at scale.3. Proven experience as Growth/category manager or similar role.4. Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles.5. Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.6. An analytical mind with a strategic ability.7. Excellent communication and people skills.8. High speed growth mindset.9.
