Job Title: Software Engineer 2Work Location: BangalorePowerDoctor is a proactive system to compliment already existing health systems on Dell various storage products in the field. The PowerDoctor system allows rapid updating of health rules to run on customer systems to inform Dell customers and Service about newly learned information from recent field events. We will be writing code to run on customer systems to determine health status of items as well as backend code to run at dell to manage the PowerDoctor system.Join us as a Software Engineer 2 on our Engineering Development team in Bangalore to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you ll achieve As a Software Engineer 2, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.You will:
• Work on adding new automated test scenarios (Python), maintaining continuous test execution, tracking test cycles execution results, recommending corrective actions, and working with the development engineers on resolution of problems.
• Isolate, reproduce and track bugs and verify fixes.
• Maintain and modify test environment and configurations as needed, create new test environments and configurations to meet test cases or problem recreation requirements.
• Document test results and manage and maintain defect and test case databases to assist in the continuous improvement and modification of software.
• Work effectively with cross-functional and/or cross-geographic teams, readily share information with others.

• 2 to 5 years of overall automation skills and scripting with Python (preferred), Shell or Perl.
• Strong Linux/ Unix OS experience.
• Excellent coding and debugging skills. Solid computer science and engineering knowledge in computer architecture, distributed systems, networking, scaling, performance, reliability, and high availability.
• In-depth understanding or 2 years experience on quality assurance of enterprise-level IT products and software testing processes, tools, methods, platforms, frameworks, etc.
• Outstanding troubleshooting skill in complex systems involving storage, server, network, and virtualization and experience with C++, Java, GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible and Artifactory.
Desirable Requirements
• Knowledge on storage protocols like Fiber Channel, ISCSI, NVMe, and features like snapshot, thin provisioning, compression, dedup, replication, migration, etc.
• Bachelor s degree/ Masters degree.
