You have good written and oral communication skills in English language and ability to articulate complex technical concepts our internal customer base.You can conceptualize, plan, develop, and write documentation sets, including complex technical material, under limited supervision, and are able to work simultaneously on multiple key projects with changing priorities. You are a good team player and you have a passion for helping users be successful using our products.If you want to be part of a growing business, have a strong interest in learning new technologies and implementing innovative solutions and are passionate about deploying and support our products, get in touch with us to explore the exciting opportunity at Citrix.Position OverviewIn this role, you will be an individual contributor working with a team of engineers to support our global Citrix Virtual App and Desktop environments for our internal customer base. Workspace Operations provides implementation, operational support and enhancement of the company s internal production deployments. Performs problem management of top support issues and analyzes systems data to identify areas for continuous improvement.Responsibilities

  • Implementing current and future releases of Citrix products in the internal global production environment in coordination with architecture team.
  • Supporting/troubleshooting Citrix Virtual App and Desktop in the internal production environment, including on-call support and rapid response to system degradation or failure conditions. This responsibility is shared with other engineers in multiple geographic locations.
  • Ensuring consistency throughout the global environments by maintaining services that can provide a high-performing and reliable user experience.
  • Monitor environment usage, engage in capacity planning, and recommend equipment and tools to aid in resolving technical/functional issues.
  • Proactively identifying and researching system bottlenecks or other weaknesses and providing recommendations to resolve them, including feedback to engineering groups for product improvement.
  • Integration of new application software into the global production Citrix Virtual App and Desktop environments.
  • Keeping abreast of new technologies as they relate to IT and to Citrix products.
  • Coordination with other IT Services Teams to optimize troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Developing, understanding, and tracking system performance metrics to ascertain health and responsiveness of the environment.
  • Monitoring problem tracking system for assigned issues and follow procedures for resolution.
  • Responsible to meet established SLA s for production Citrix Virtual App and Desktop services, perform regular system health checks as assigned, and resolve Level 3 internal customer support issues.
  • Interacting with our internal customers on issues that are escalated to our team.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in administration and support of Citrix Virtual App & Desktop (XenApp and XenDesktop) and related technologies.
  • Working experience with Hypervisors. Citrix XenServer preferred.
  • Must have experience gathering, understanding, and interpreting server-system performance metrics. Working with peers and tech support to find solutions to any system issues.
  • Experience with Powershell scripting.
  • Experience with DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with MCS and PVS technologies.
  • Experience with configuration management tools. SCCM preferred.
  • Experience with user profile management technologies such as Citrix Profile Management.
  • Experience with network storage concepts. NetApp/NFS preferred.
  • Must work with a results orientation and a commitment to teamwork and customer service.
  • Light physical exertion, routine bending and lifting may be required.
  • Must carry cell phone. Is available 24x7 in on-call rotation as required.
  • Should be highly organized, can work independently in a fast-paced environment, and produce documentation deliverable with frequent deadlines.
Desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of Powershell scripting and other automation tools.
  • Current Citrix CVAD Certification
  • Security or other security related certification.
