Job Description

In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for performing commissioning activities and developing the software, developing software FAT and start-up, commissioning and completing the assigned projects in time and providing technical service or supporting customers.Your responsibilities

  • Understanding logic , preparing I/O list, testing simulation and delivering the project within the agreed schedule. Checking the material at site using packing list, capturing customer complaints and providing timely solution
  • Checking hardware like panels and computer peripherals and inspecting or supervising the power, control and special cable laying and checking the tightness of wiring and components inside panels like IO, CPU and server
  • Establishing and troubleshooting Profibus, ethernet and Modbus and FO networks as per the system architecture, drawing and testing PG as per the contract with respect to project, maintaining red lining document during commissioning in two sets
  • Measuring the voltage and recording all the parameters with respect to P-N, P-E and N-E in all the panels and control desk and powering up of CPU panels, MCC IO and RIO panels and powering up of engineering station, servers and all operating station
  • Testing or simulating the developed software along with customer and testing individual signal between field to IO panel and from IO panel to DCS or operator stations and fine tuning and modifying or troubleshooting of logics as per customer requirements, modifying graphics as per operational requirements
  • Loading trials for individual drive and verifying each signal in the object display and trialing the hydraulic & pneumatic system, checking group trialing, and interlock to start or stop sequencing
  • Checking simulation of all analog input or output signals and tuning PID parameter for close loop control and configuring alarms, events and trends
Your background
  • B. Tech or B.E or Diploma from a reputed university with first class in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation engineering
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in engineering or commissioning or trouble shooting or servicing automation and drive systems preferably in hot metal rolling or profile mill applications
  • Knowledge in DCS or PLC, HW or SW components and IT or network peripherals like UPS, printer, PCs and server components of DCS system
  • Knowledge in application programming and developing HMI or modifying PLC/ DCS systems and different communication protocols used in automation
  • Experience in ABB automation systems like 800xA, Freelance and compact products will be an added advantage
  • Willing to travel domestically up to 85 percentage
