Job Description

Hitachi Power Grids is looking for a R&D Leader in the India Product Center to produce high quality, competitive software products for the Enterprise Software group. The Leader will collaborate with senior level product development and product management to produce the next generation of mission-critical, enterprise software for current and new markets. In addition, the role will actively engage with peer R&D organizations in the business unit.Your Responsibilities:

  • International experience with global projects and collaboration with intercultural team is a must.
  • Strong track record of successfully delivering innovation to the market.
  • Full software development lifecycle experience including Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with experience in building and managing teams of cross-functional experts in multiple regions globally.
  • Software Architecture background Worked with Kubernetes and Docker Containers Familiar with AWS and Azure Cloud environments.
  • Experience in Mentoring and Succession Management.
  • Grow the location and collaborate with the Richmond, Canada and Krakow, Poland Development Centers.
  • Own and drive the development of the innovative products derived from the current product line and next generation technologies (EAM, FSM and APM products).
  • Drive organizational efficiencies, collaboration, and a strong engineering culture.
  • Increase adoption and maturity of Agile, Lean, Quality, and Cybersecurity methodologies.
  • Partner with other business units, corporate research, and technology leaders across Power Grids to leverage and collaborate on products and technologies for new solutions to bring to market.
  • Identify and assess emerging technologies and technology partners for applicability to the Power Grids business needs.
  • Ensure sound and scalable product architectures along with competitive user interface designs.

Your background:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Physics or Math.
  • 15+ years experience leading development of large scalable enterprise software products, in several technology environments, cloud hosted, mobile and legacy software.
  • Experienced in P&L management Experienced interfacing with Executive Leadership to measure quality metrics.
  • Experienced in leading and implementing ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.
  • Experience in full cycle management of third-party partnerships.
  • Located in Bangalore or willing to relocate to Bangalore
