Job Description

Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.You will be working as R&D Senior Software Engineer, reporting to R&D Department Lead for Motion business, System Drives division based in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for working with the teams which are developing and validating shippable products for the India and global markets. You will also be a part of global R&D community spread across the ABB MOSD division.Your responsibilities

  • Designing and developing of applications and solutions for OEMs, end customers on our control applications / engineering platform
  • Collaborating with global/ local R&D / Product management / Customer teams to develop world class reliable solutions
  • Taking ownership of functional requirement specifications, designing documents, technical specifications and test cases in line with quality systems designing and architecture concepts
  • Taking ownership of customer aligned application deliverables aligned to ABB Solution standards / practices / quality assurance process
  • Collaborating within R&D community and aligning with agile software development principles
  • Demonstrating strong commitment to quality culture in ABB R&D
Your background
  • Bachelors / masters degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical, Power Electronics, or related field
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience
  • Must have strong experience in Drives domain and industrial applications
  • Expertise in Industrial application IEC 61131 programming languages
  • Experience in C, C++, Python, Simulink programming an added advantage
  • Experience in Unit testing for the developed functions / modules / solutions
  • Experience in working in Agile teams and strong understanding of agile ways of working
  • Experience about CI/CD processes, Jenkins or equivalent tools
