Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Applications Engineer who can bridge the needs among algorithm/firmware engineers and customer/business support.The candidate is expected to be self-motivated and organized, to support new systems showcasing the healthcare algorithms while coupling the advanced technologies being developed at ADI to the physiological challenges being presented by the digital healthcare market.Responsibilities:

  • Testing and validation of healthcare algorithms in wearables and medical devices
  • Supporting development of wearable systems with biosensors, embedded firmware, and algorithms.
  • Debugging and resolving algorithm-specific issues on custom platforms
  • Performing data and signal analysis using Python/Matlab and other programming languages to identify potential failure causes in algorithms and software.
  • Preparing data collection systems and protocols, documentation, and training materials.
  • Generating app notes, datasheets and white papers
  • Work in a cross-functional team (business managers, product definers, algo/FW/GUI developers, program managers) to coordinate productization of healthcare algorithms and reference designs.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S./M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalentwith 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experienced in signal processing, filtering techniques, statistical analysis, and noise modeling
  • Familiarity with developing machine learning algorithms
  • Programming in Python, Matlab, C, C++ and/or Java
  • Hands on experience on software testing and debugging
  • Experience with development tools (Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Jira etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills
  • Flexible collaborating with geographically dispersed project teams
  • Flexible for domestic and international travel
  • Fluent in English
Not required, but good to have:
  • Work experience in biomedical devices, or healthcare algorithms
  • Firmware development experience
