Job Description

In this role you will be reporting to Global Channel Support Manager and will be responsible for supporting ABBs Process Automation channel partners on all presales technical support, training and aftersales technical support aspects.Your responsibilities

  • Supporting pre-bidding technical queries and advising best-fit solution, product positioning, technical queries on system capabilities and limitations, licensing, lifecycle status and validating solutions, BOM generated by partner, before order is placed
  • Leading technical discussions along with partners and their customers on ABB control system products and industry specific solutions such as batch management, solutions, water solutions and owning the offered solution
  • Supporting partners with both sales and customized technical or hands-on engineering trainings on products and solutions offered
  • Providing technical guidance to new partners on initial system configuration, controller configurations, graphic configurations and system sizing (servers / workstations / switches)
  • Assisting partners remotely to the possible extent, taking accountability of the product related technical issue and resolving the same
  • Liaising with product managers and L3 team on product related issues on an ongoing partner project and leading the follow-up of issue resolution with L3 team, in cases where theres no local partner support team in LDs
Your background
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience as a technical support specialist
  • Experience in project engineering with ABB control system products either in system 800xA, S+ SCADA, freelance DCS
  • Experience with batch management applications, water solutions, F&B applications
  • Experience in handling global customer or channel partners and exposure for digital offerings in OT space will be an added advantage
  • Should be flexible to support geographies in different time zones other than India
