Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTIONRole Proficiency:Perform Daily Test Case Execution and Filing BugsOutcomes:

  1. Complete the assigned test grid without deviations from given test steps
  2. Locate the product failures and report it in test repository and bug tracker
Measures of Outcomes:
  1. Proper update of the test repository and bug database
  2. Number of quality bugs filed
  3. Adherence to schedule / timelines
  4. Adhere to SLAs where applicable
  5. Number of defects post delivery
  6. Number of non-compliance issues
Outputs Expected:Manage Project:
  1. Perform task deliverables with quality targeting completion timeframe.
Estimate:
  1. Estimate time effort and resource dependence for ones own work
Document:
  1. Circulate daily status report and update test repository
Status Reporting:
  1. Report status of tasks assigned
  2. Compliance with validation standards and process
Skill Examples:
  1. Computer hardware and components operation skills
  2. Ability to work with Windows OS flavours and installation
  3. Ability to perform and evaluate test results against product specifications
  4. Ability to estimate effort time required for own work
  5. Ability to perform and evaluate test in the customer or target environment
  6. Work in a team environment
  7. Good written and verbal communication abilities
Knowledge Examples:
  • Good understanding of SDLC & STLC process
    1. Familiar with different types of testing methodologies
    Additional Comments: Construct systematic test cases by referring to test scenarios for applications based on customer user stories or requirements Execute systematic test cases by referring to test scenarios for applications based on customer user stories or requirements Ensure that new or revised components or systems perform to expectation Ensure meeting standards including usability performance reliability or compatibility Document Test results and report defects
