Job Description

SUMMARY This role shall be focused on Customer Support for the users of ANSYS Mechanical family of products in India. The customer support shall be at various phases of usage of ANSYS products right from problem definition, setup, solution, visualization and results interpretation. It shall involve contribution to Best practices for Post-Sales support including Knowledge resources development. The engineer in this role shall be interacting directly with customers to understand and guide the usage of Simulation in their Product Development Process. The role also includes uncovering opportunities for customer simulation adoption enhancement through training & best practice deployment. This person shall be assisting Product development team with application feature testing. This role shall also contribute to Customer Training and shall assist Sales and Pre-Sales team to grow ANSYS business based on the skill set and expertise. The role will give opportunity to specialize in aerospace and auto industries. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist clients using ANSYS Mechanical products in all phases of analysis from correct posing of the initial problem, solution and interpretation of the results leading to improved productivity and satisfaction with ANSYS simulation products Interact with customers to help diagnose issues, as well as research and find solutions to a wide variety of complex problems Work collaboratively with customers to ensure their successful use of ANSYS products, sustain a renewals revenue stream Seed opportunities to expand software usage or discuss advanced technology during customer interaction Develop simulation best practices, solutions, FAQs for knowledge base Develop and strengthen long-term relationship with customers Instruct training classes on the usage of ANSYS simulation products Assist product development team with application feature testing. Collaborate with product development to improve ANSYS products and the customers experience using these products Execute field marketing activities, assist Sales and Presales efforts to grow ANSYS business based on the expertise and skill set requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Ph.D., Masters or Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical / Aerospace) Experience of 3 to 5 years in use of relevant ANSYS software or other commercial software (can be obtained or partially obtained in a university setting) Sound Knowledge of Solid Mechanics Experience in handling Nonlinear simulation in industry scale simulation will be an added advantage Engaging personality, engineering curiosity and willingness for continuous learning Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to implement numerical models to obtain practical engineering solutions to difficult problems Ability to work independently, as well as with others in a diverse team environment Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks / assignments and to communicate effectively with customers Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English Interested in working with customers and willing to travel PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of other commercial FEA software packages preferred Must have passion and drive for personal technical excellence and high performance Must have customer service aptitude and maintain customer focus CULTURE AND VALUES Culture and values are incredibly important to ANSYS.
