Job Description

  • ROLES:
  • Triveni has multiple counters at various locations in India - counters are parts of other Wholesaler shops which have Trivenis products, and manned by the employee of Triveni. While the selling and billing happens on behalf of the Wholesaler, the role of the Salesperson to represent Triveni at the Wholesaler - and ensure that Trivenis products are adequately presented and sold. This includes the following tasks:
  • Coordinating on the receiving of Trivenis products. This may involve coordination with the transport agency to get the parcels.
  • Opening the parcels / samples and showing to the customers. The purpose of this is to maximize sales of Trivenis saree collection to the buyers.
  • Field visits to retailers and other wholesalers to show catalogs and samples, and trying to convert them to orders.
  • Maintaining good relations with the owner and staff of the Wholesale store, and other counter staff
  • Creating and sending daily report on Phone and Email to Trivenis head office on Daily activities in the format shared.
  • Travel to the Surat head-office periodically or whenever required.
  • Travel to nearby wholesale counters and offices may also happen, whenever required.
  • This role may also involve tasks such as:
    • Opening, folding and packing sarees oneself.
    • Carrying parcels or boxes of sarees.
    • Offer refreshments and drinking water to the customers.
    • In peak season time, spending longer time at the counter.
    • Helping out the Wholesale shop owner in certain tasks, as required.
  • Any other task, as maybe required in the course of work.
  • REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • The position is based in one of the above locations. Candidate will be staying in this location, with periodic travel to the head office in Surat, or travel as may required.
  • Clear persuasive communication and interest in sales.
  • Must be good at negotiating and closing business deals.
  • Must be self motivated and driven, and capable of applying self deadlines to closing them.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must be presentable and must be able to present organization well.
  • Must be able to adjust in even most modest of setups.
  • A prior sales role will be useful.
  • Must have a Bachelors or a Masters degree.
