Lead Test Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and perform software tests to ensure we release the highest quality products that meet client needs. Responsibilities include designing and executing test plans , developing and implementing frameworks that improve testing (manual and automated) , and debugging and reporting bugs. The QA engineer will be required to deliver E2E (end to end) QA testing across a software stack spanning multiple internal and external systems. Our ideal candidate will have experience with ERP and accounting software (e.g. SAP , Oracle , Sage , Xero) , and knowledge of accounting processes and electronic invoicing (e.g. P2P , Q2C / O2C). Experience with P2P software is a plus (e.g. Basware , Coupa , SAP Ariba). The QA engineer role plays an important part in our product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests during development to validate requirements , performing UAT (user acceptance testing) for product releases , and providing support for customer implementation projects as required. Responsibilities Create detailed , comprehensive and well - structured test plans and test cases for manual and automated testing Estimate , prioritize , plan , coordinate and execute testing activities Develop and / or implement frameworks that improve testing (manual and automated) Design , develop and execute automation scripts where possible Identify , record , document thoroughly and track bugs Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved Work closely with internal teams to test new features (e.g. developers , product managers , delivery & support) Work closely with internal teams to provide testing support for customer implementation projects (e.g. delivery & support) Review requirements , specifications and technical design documents as required to provide timely and meaningful feedback Investigate the causes of software issues and train users to implement solutions Track quality assurance metrics , such as defect densities and open defect counts Stay up - to - date with new testing tools and test strategies Qualifications Demonstrated 8+ years experience with manual and automated testing (or software development) with web based software Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies , tools and processes Ability to write clear , concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases Demonstrated experience in test planning , test design , test strategy , and test execution Experience with ERP and accounting software (e.g. SAP , Oracle , Sage , Xero) Knowledge of accounting processes and electronic invoicing (e.g. P2P , Q2C / O2C) Experience with P2P software is a plus (e.g. Basware , Coupa , SAP Ariba). Strong debugging skills and ability to write bug reports Experience with both white box and black box testing (i.e. CIT / UAT) Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium) Practical coding experience with automated web testing tools and services Ability to write code / scripting in languages like XML , JSON , SQL , JavaScript Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process Strong organizational skills , with a demonstrated ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results Creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness for the entire team Comfortable communicating cross - functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience You a chance to join a growing , dynamic software company and an excellent opportunity to work with high reputation market leader products.,
