As an application architect you will be part of a team responsible for rolling out and integrating various solutions in our IT Landscape. You will work with development teams & stakeholders in various locations, such as Bangalore, Maidenhead (UK), Charlotte (US), Guangzhou (China) and Copenhagen (Denmark).Show More Key responsibilitiesThe Application Architect is responsible for driving the team towards the successful technical delivery of features that meet the business needs.They are involved in discussions of upcoming features that could become a distraction to the wider team. They become the go-to person for issues related to a specific set of features.The application architect will be responsible for the implementation quality and will ensure that the correct procedures are in place to assure (code and feature) quality.In the role, you will be part of the development team with the following tasks: Collaborate with architects and/or analysts to understand requirements and designs, translating business requirements into detailed solution design and program specifications. Assist as required in scope definition, technical viability scoping and best practice solution design to meet the requirements Provide guidance to and mentor developers in the software development method; coding and testing techniques Where appropriate, provide guidance to the Solution Architect in the development of solutions. Write, test and deliver code of high quality, ensuring business requirements are met and code conforms to design. Participate in review of code and solution documentation ensuring it is according to the requirements and functional specifications, is at high standard and in accordance with current framework. Analyze application health and performance. Recommending solutions for improvement. Assist in production issue resolution and root cause analysis. Build strong collaborative relationships with architects, software engineers, testers, analysts, vendor staff and partners. Where appropriate, provide feedback to the Solution Architect in the development of solutions. Highlight all risks and issues that affect the development or deliveries Form strong and trusted relationship with the Product Owner; ensuring that the Product Owner is fully aware of the technical capabilities and shortcomings of the product allowing for sensible technical investment and debt repayment decisions Work across teams to define efficient solutions and implementation strategies to create highly cohesive implementation across products Demonstrate interest in improving the company s technical awareness, depth and use of technology across the business. Participate in the evolution of company level best practices, standards, and policies related to software development.Show More We are looking forExperience & Technical Skills:Must have Application architectureo General knowledge on major aspects of application architecture. o Capable of designing application framework, select standards, complete design of object and data model. o Capable of transforming design into low-level specifications and provide corresponding documentation. o Address exception handling. Ability and experience to provide general and technical leadership to the development team Design and Modellingo Experience with a modelling tool, such as Archimate, Visio.o Design database tables, determine needed indexes, optimize SQL and procedures. o Create and maintain ER diagrams. Able to conduct design and code reviews, as well as reviews of test strategy, test cases, and test results. 5+ years of experience developing and implementing Java JEE and JSE applications working witho Transaction managemento Log4j loggingo Database connectivity / poolingo Quartz schedulero JPA (Java Persistence API) / Hibernateo JAR/WAR/EAR creationo Java Eclipse / IDE 3+ years of experience with back-end, message driven solutionso JMSo MDB (Message Driven Beans)o IBM MQ (2 years), queue manager, RFHUTIL, bindings file Experience with SQL, Oracle databaseo JDBCo Connection poolingo Design/create tables and indexeso Execution plan analysiso Be able to identify performance problems 3+ years of experience with GUI development, Javascript, JSP, Ext JS Experience designing and developing API/web services solutions (SOAP, REST); hosted services and clients DevOpso GIT (Branching, Merging, GITflow/Workflow)o Maveno POM files (parent/child)o Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) WebLogico Configure data source, securityo Manage/Deploy JEE Applicationso Performance tuning (memory, heap, etc.) Linux RHEL familiarity and bash Strong knowledge of XML and parsing methodsAdvantage if Experience with scripting: Python, PERL, PHP Experience with IBM s ODM (Operational Decision Manager) Business Rule Management System (XOM, BOM, Rule Studio) Experience with encryption and signaturesShow More,
