Job Description

The Applications Development Programmer Analyst is an entry level position responsible for contributing to a variety of development activities in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in applications systems analysis and programming activities.Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day to day development and support of Front end Intranet applications
  • Work with multiple internal stake holders and interfacing application development teams in delivering application changes throughout an agile calendar.
  • Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements
  • Conduct testing and debugging, utilize script tools, and write basic code
  • Assess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures
  • Develop working knowledge of Citi s information systems, procedures, standards, client server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications
  • Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
  • 4 8 Years of experience in Product design & development
  • Good Understanding and working experience in Developing applications in an Agile Methodology
  • Prior experience in large scale Enterprise application development, optimization, re-engineering, performance fine tuning and cost optimization
  • Experience in developing Micro Services.
  • Experience in building cloud compatible Applications.
  • Must have strong Database Knowledge
Technical Skills Set:
  • Java/J2EE, REST, Python, open Source frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Spring boot etc.
  • IDE Eclipse, IntelliJ , STS, Visual Studio
  • IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC) | BIT Bucket, Jenkins
  • Methodology : Agile
  • Servers: IBM HTTP, WebSphere, Tomcat, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, etc.
  • Operating environment Windows7/10, Unix, Linux
  • Client Side UI Framework/Languages (Angular, HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, JQuery, DOJO, JSON)
  • Debugging Tools - Server Side (Heap Memory Analyzer, Probe, JMeter)/Client Side (Fiddler, Http watch etc.)
Education:
  • Bachelor s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
